The Territory

Our olive groves are located in the municipality of Mineo, in south-eastern Sicily, within the Hyblaean Mountains area. An area highly suited for olive cultivation since ancient times. The very breezy hill microclimate naturally protects the olive trees from diseases and harmful insects. For this reason, olive trees have flourished for millennia in our territory, as evidenced by the presence of numerous centuries-old olive trees. The main native olive varieties present are: Tonda Iblea, Nocellara Etnea, Moresca, Biancolilla, etc.

The Farm

covers approximately 8 hectares across three plots of land, at an altitude ranging between 200 and 500 meters above sea level. In 2013, we planted new olive trees (around 700), mainly of the Tonda Iblea variety, alongside the pre-existing centuries-old trees, betting on the rediscovery of the value of local agricultural tradition and the growing importance that consumers place on the quality of the products they purchase. The bet currently seems to be won: our customers grow in number year after year, alongside our young olive trees. Our goal is to further improve both product quality and packaging as well as communication, reaching new customers while continuously enhancing the value of our product.

Our Oil

Our extra virgin olive oil in the 500 ml bottle is an unfiltered green mono-cultivar from Tonda Iblea olives. It is obtained from early-harvested olives that are still green and cold-extracted on the same day using the continuous cycle method to achieve the highest quality. The soil characteristics, the cultivar, and the harvesting and extraction methods give this oil a perfect mix of fruity, spicy, and bitter notes. Ideal raw for dressing salads, meat, and fish.
